Participation Waiver
Waiver: It is expressly agreed that participation in Historic Reno Preservation Society (HRPS) activities, including any transportation provided by a Society member, shall be undertaken at the undersigned’s sole risk, and the Society shall not be liable for any injuries or any damage to the undersigned, or the property of the undersigned, or be subject to any claim, demand, injury or damages whatsoever, including, without limitation, those damages resulting from acts of active or passive negligence on the part of HRPS, its officers or agents.
The undersigned releases and discharges for himself/herself and on behalf of his/her executors, administrators, heirs, assigns and successors from all such claims, demands, injuries, damages, actions or causes of action. HRPS shall not be responsible or liable for articles damaged, lost or stolen at any Society function, or for loss or damages to any property including but not limited to automobiles and the contents thereof.
Indemnify and Hold Harmless: The undersigned agrees to indemnify and hold harmless the Historic Reno Preservation Society for any occurrence caused, in whole or in part, by the undersigned and/or his/her guest at an event or activity sponsored by HRPS.
An Incident/Accident Report must be filled out and submitted to the HRPS Board within 30 days of any occurrence of incident/accident.
Severable provisions: In the event that any part of this agreement is held to be void or unenforceable, that portion is severed, and the remainder of this agreement shall remain in force and effect.
