Walking tours, home tours and talks

Every year HRPS takes Reno's history outside: guided walking tours through the city's historic neighborhoods in late spring and summer, the Harvest of Homes Tour each September, and speaker programs on local history and architecture. Tours and the home tour are booked through our membership site. Members pay less and hear about everything first.

Walking Tours

Two-hour guided walks led by HRPS volunteers, May through July, on weekday evenings and weekend mornings. $10 for members, $20 for everyone else. Tours fill, so reserve ahead.

Harvest of Homes Tour

One day each September inside some of Reno’s finest historic homes, with the owners and HRPS docents on hand. Tickets are limited and sell out.

Past home tours

Speaker Programs

Illustrated talks on Reno and Nevada history and architecture, held at local libraries and venues and usually free. Recordings of many past talks are on the site.
